Understanding Your Safety is Our Priority: Early Pregnancy & Dental Care at Tokyo International Dental Clinic Roppongi
Dear everyone,
I want to assure you that we take every precaution to ensure your safety and the health of your potential baby.
(As a dentist trained in Sweden and specializing in diagnostics, I understand the complexities of how dental treatments can affect patients and their babies.)
▼ Understanding the Extra Precautions We Take in Very Early Pregnancy (Weeks 1-3) ▼
Even though standard dental work is rarely the cause of miscarriages, you might have unique circumstances.
The very early stages of pregnancy, particularly weeks 1-3, are when the fertilized egg implants into the uterine lining. This is a delicate period, and we take extra precautions because:
- Medicines – We minimize drug use. Even though local anesthetics have never proven to have a bad effect, we take our best guess by using non-medicine ways to make you feel comfortable.
- Radiation – Unless absolutely necessary, we almost never use dental equipment that utilizes radiation.
- Stress – We always care that all of our patients are feeling emotionally balanced and stress-free. So, we offer very friendly service that always cares about how you feel!
▼ Here’s How We Protect You:
- Open Communication: If there’s even a possibility you’re pregnant, please tell us. Even if it’s too early for a pregnancy test to be positive, knowing this helps us make the most informed decisions.
- Prioritizing Essential Treatment: We will want to postpone or delay the operation if we can.
- Conservative Approach: Every medication choice, use of dental equipment is weighed. You’ll never have to do anything that you don’t want to do.
- Personalized Care: We want the best for our clients and offer services that reflects that.
I can say for sure that a dental doctor is unlikely to directly cause a miscarriage, it is also important for us to ensure the safe side of the equation.
At Tokyo International Dental Clinic Roppongi, you’re in the best hands. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions or express any concerns. We’re here to listen and provide you with the safest, most appropriate care.
We are on the side of mothers.
Sincerely,
Director dentist Hiroshi Miyashita D.D.S.
