Fun Tooth Brushing Workshop for Kids International

Ayako’s Kids Prevention Project

Dental Workshop at Kids International Kindergarten Higashi-Azabu

Recently, as part of our community outreach initiative, “Ayako’s Kids Prevention Project,” we conducted a one-hour dental health workshop (TBI) at Kids International Kindergarten Higashi-Azabu in Minato-ku.

The mission of this project is to empower children from an early age to protect their own oral health. We achieve this by collaborating with educational institutions to provide engaging, hands-on preventive education.

■ Collaborating with Future Dental Hygienists

For this workshop, we were joined by students from a dental hygiene college. This provided a valuable opportunity to combine community service with practical, on-site learning for the next generation of dental professionals.

■ Learning Preventive Dentistry Through “Experience”

The workshop began with an educational video that introduced the importance of teeth in a fun and engaging way.

Next was our “Healthy or Not?” food quiz. It was wonderful to see the children thinking critically as they picked food items, energetically shouting, “Donuts make the tooth sad!”

The highlight was our interactive demonstration using tooth costumes. By working together to “POP!” away the “dirt” stuck between the teeth, the children learned a vital lesson in a way they won’t forget:

“There are hidden causes of cavities in places a toothbrush cannot reach.”

■ Education That Leads to Real Action

To wrap up the session, we all made a pinky promise to brush every day and use dental floss.

A key feature of this project is that we do not simply provide knowledge; we emphasize “Action-Oriented Preventive Education”—ensuring that what is learned in the workshop translates into daily habits at home.

■ Our Commitment at Tokyo International Dental Clinic Roppongi

Beyond the treatments provided in our clinic, we are dedicated to community outreach programs that focus on:

• Promoting the importance of preventive dentistry

• Raising health awareness among children

• Mentoring the next generation of dental professionals

We believe that small steps taken today lead to a lifetime of great health.

Through “Ayako’s Kids Prevention Project,” we will continue our mission to support the healthy growth and sparkling smiles of children in our community.
